Like many women who love fashion, we started by buying new. Expensive pieces that promised quality, fast fashion that promised convenience, and everything in between. But time after time, the reality didn’t match the expectation. “Genuine leather” that didn’t last. Clothes that looked good once and quickly lost their shape. Higher prices without higher standards.

At the same time, the fashion industry became harder to ignore. Overproduction, greenwashing, unethical labour, and waste shipped to countries unequipped to deal with it. We wanted to make better choices — but the alternatives felt overwhelming. Vintage meant digging through endless rails, questioning hygiene, or spending hours scrolling online. Convenience always won, even when it didn’t align with our values.

So we decided to do things differently.
